There are so many procurement podcasts out there nowadays. From just a handful of them pre-pandemic, there are now over 50 of them! Sometimes, it’s hard to know where to start your search.

The amount of procurement related content has mushroomed recently, and the flourishing podcast scene is a great example of this.

So, we’ve tried to put together the most comprehensive list out there.

In the end, we picked out the best 50 procurement podcasts. This covers shows with enough episodes to be useful resources, and also from a broad range of procurement angles.

From bite-sized stories to in-depth analysis from industry experts, the list below features the best conversation out there. So whether you’re looking for a cutting-edge technical discussion, or something light and entertaining for your coffee break, we’ve got you covered.

We didn’t include the supply chain-focused podcasts in here, because we wanted to keep this as a procurement list. There’s a future post in the pipeline though where we plan to tackle these!

We’ve generally listed the podcasts in order of total number of episodes, from most to least.

NOTE: We update and refresh this article each year, to stay on top of any cool new podcasts entering the space!

 

Active, Regularly Published Podcasts

1. Art of Procurement

Running since 2015, the grand daddy of procurement podcasts has over 500 episodes. Each week, host Philip Ideson talks to thought leaders and procurement professionals. Their discussion covers trends, strategies, and tactics to elevate the role of procurement.

Art of Procurement recently added a second podcast to its schedule, called Procurement 6. This shorter offering brings you six top news stories from the world of procurement each week, between episodes of the main podcast. It’s hosted by Art of Procurement team members.

 

2. Public Procurement Change Agents

Dustin Lanier, founder of Civic Initiatives and certified public procurement officer, hosts this weekly podcast. It’s targeted at a US-based audience.

Public Procurement Change Agents is a podcast focused on public procurement across state, local and education in the United States. It features interesting discussions with leading public procurement professionals and experts.

 

3. The Procurement Software Podcast

The Procurement Software Podcast is a procurement podcast featuring software startups, digital procurement experts and thought leaders.

This one should be familiar to frequent visitors of this site. It’s ProcurementSoftware.site’s podcast, hosted by our Founder James Meads.

The show is a mix of thought leaders from the world of digital procurement and beyond, as well as solo episodes from James about pertinent topics in the digital procurement world. The show features straight-talking conversation on all that’s new in procuretech.

Episodes release weekly in series format.

 

4. The CPOStrategy Podcast

The CPO Strategy Podcast podcast delivers a valuable C-Level perspective on digital transformation and digital disruption. This procurement podcast from B2e Media Ltd covers topics on technology, supply chain and procurement. Each episode brings new insights from the people driving change in the world’s most exciting companies.

The CPO Strategy Podcast releases monthly, with a series format. It’s not airing currently, but there are over a hundred episodes already available.

 

5. Art of Supply

Art of Supply is a podcast hosted by industry influencer Kelly Barner. Each week she’s joined by a constantly changing cast of executives, providers and thought leaders. Originally a podcast of Supply Chain Now, it recently joined the ever-expanding Art of Procurement stable of podcasts!

The podcast investigates the nuanced boundary between procurement and supply chain “with all the rigour of a classic Hitchcock thriller”. Art of Supply has a fun, light hearted tone, and welcomes active audience participation. It airs weekly.

 

6. The Sourcing Hero

The Sourcing Hero is a collaboration between outsourced group purchasing organisation Una and Art of Procurement. It’s a podcast largely focused on sourcing, but touching on all areas of procurement.

Join host Kelly Barner as she brings you stories from leading sourcing and supply chain professionals, all in the name of creating exceptional value within sourcing. ProcurementSoftware.site’s Founder James Meads was on the show just before we launched the Procurement Software website, back in February 2022.

The Sourcing Hero releases weekly, and just aired its 80th episode at time of writing.

 

7. The Sourcing Industry Landscape

SIG CEO Dawn Tiura hosts this procurement podcast with a focus on sourcing.

It features conversations with leading innovators in the sourcing landscape, discussing the new technologies, ideas, and practices that are revolutionising sourcing.

The Sourcing Industry Landscape podcast airs monthly, with an archive of almost a hundred episodes already online.

 

8. Procurement Talk

Procurement Talk is a podcast for procurement and business professionals. Each episode, host David Byrne shares his unique insights and analysis, based on his experience as a procurement professional.

Procurement Talk airs in a series format, in short, bite-sized episodes of usually around 10 minutes in length.

 

9. Talent Talks Podcast

Martin Smith is the founder of Talent Drive, a specialist procurement and supply chain recruitment company in the UK. Each episode, he pulls on his expertise and network to provide thought-provoking discussions with industry leaders from the procurement space.

Guests range from CPOs within large corporations and brands in the UK – including Mars, John Lewis and Babcock International, to managing directors of procurement specialist service companies.

The Talent Talks Podcast releases roughly every two weeks, and is currently airing at time of writing.

 

10. Procurement Legends

Procurement Legends is a podcast about procurement, supply chain and contract management.

It offers a deep dive into real case studies and examples for you to put into practice within your own business. Interestingly, this podcast makes a point of not only talking to senior professionals, but also more junior people within businesses – as everyone has a fresh perspective and useful insights to offer.

Procurement Legends is hosted by UK-based procurement influencer Daniel Barnes, and has over 70 episodes to date.

 

11. Conversations

Conversations, from Zivio, is a podcast focused on statement of work management and services procurement.

It has covered topics from workforce categorisation and optimisation, to how ESG impacts services procurement supply chains.

This podcast has a somewhat erratic release schedule, but tended to put out at least one episode a month, before its last episode aired on 9th April 2024.

 

12. NASPO Pulse

14. Sense and Sustainability

ISO20400.org is aiming to build the global body of knowledge in sustainable procurement. Established in 2017, it’s a free knowledge sharing platform, social media and webinar series which has grown in popularity. In their podcast series, they bust some of the myths of sustainable procurement and introduce you to experts and influencers in this space from around the world.

 

15. Spotlight on Procurement

Brought to you by Efficio Consulting, Spotlight on Procurement is a podcast covering the entire procurement landscape, but with a focus on supply chain. It’s hosted by Simon Lipscomb.

The podcast features interviews with industry leaders. With topics ranging from supplier ethnic diversity, to pioneering sustainability in public health.

Spotlight on Procurement releases one episode every month.

 

16. Transforming Procurement with Lourdes Coss

Transforming Procurement is hosted by business transformation specialist Lourdes Coss.

She brings over 25 years of experience with government procurement teams, and shares her insights on the transformation process. The podcast features commentary, insights, and interviews with other transformation leaders.

The podcast releases in a series format, with new episodes airing twice monthly.

 

17. Procurement Consulting

Procurement Consulting is the official podcast of Procurement.co, a boutique procurement consultancy for UN Agencies, international organisations, NGOs, government bodies, and corporations.

 

18. Procurement Games

This is a show focusing on elevating opportunities for Minority, Women, and Veteran Small businesses in the US public sector. These organisations can make millions in contracting! Unfortunately, they are challenged by the government procurement processes. Talk of levelling the playing field is the main theme, yet little is done to move us forward. ​The PROCUREMENT GAMES Podcast and Open Conversations brings voices together to move forward to changing the way the rules are set and the games are played.

20. The Procurement Show

The Procurement Show is the podcast of training and software company Positive Purchasing, and takes a unique approach to the subject of procurement.

Hosted by procurement expert and multiple published author Jonathan O’Brien, this podcast tackles the big topics and sets out to explore the more interesting bits of procurement.

Recent discussion topics include the circular economy, the impact of climate change on supply chain and the coming food crisis. Our Founder James Meads was also a recent guest on the show, talking about digital procurement of course!

The Procurement Show releases on a monthly basis, and is currently airing at time of writing.

 

21. The Way We Source

The Way We Source is a podcast focused on speaking with practitioners, tech vendors, experts, researchers and inspiring people. Its goal is exploring and understanding the role we play on the journey towards smart and sustainable supply chains at scale.

The podcast is sponsored by Kodiak Hub, but the content revolves around the topics discussed and people interviewed, and is vendor/brand neutral to a large extent. Our Founder, James, was also a guest on this show too (he gets around a bit!).

 

22. The Procurement Conversation

The Procurement Conversation is a procurement discussion podcast hosted by Rich Sains, Founder of software solution Acada.

The show has morphed into being a guest show where Rich interviews CPOs and other influential leaders from the procurement space, to discuss the latest issues, challenges and opportunities facing our profession.

 

23. Procurement Reimagined

Procurement Reimagined is a podcast by Gatekeeper, the Vendor & Contract Lifecycle Management Platform (VCLM). The podcast’s aim to tear down the out-of-date practices that have plagued procurement for so long and look at procurement through a new lens. With well-known procurement influencer and Gatekeeper’s Head of Content Daniel Barnes at the helm, it promises to be a great show!

 

24. GEP Insights

GEP Insights is a podcast for intelligent procurement and supply conversation. The show publishes a diverse range of topics. These include digital procurement strategy, ESG, supplier diversity to more specific category topics such as chemicals sourcing.

The publishing schedule is a little inconsistent but on average, episodes are published roughly once a month.

 

25. Pondering Procurement

Pondering Procurement offers insights and conversation on the latest issues in indirect procurement. It’s brought to you by CASME, the global membership community for procurement professionals.

Each episode, host Graham Crawshaw speaks to leading experts in indirect procurement.

26. Procurement Says No

The Procurement Initiative Leaders Podcast is hosted by Richard McIntosh and Martina Buchhauser, respective Partner and Senior Advisor at H&Z (Europe’s leading independent Management Consultancy).

The long tail of older content

Finally, these are the long tail of procurement podcasts who were previously active. Some of them regularly published weekly episodes but no longer seem to be active.

There’s still some great content in here, but obviously not all of the topics will be current and completely up-to-date.

33. Procurement Zen

Procurement Zen is a podcast focused on negotiation in procurement. Host Philip Kowalski shares tools, negotiation approaches, book reviews and interviews with professional negotiators.

This podcast used to have a twice-weekly release schedule, but hasn’t put out an episode since January 2022. Nevertheless, there are over 100 episodes you can already enjoy online.

 

34. Procurement in 5-Minutes

Procurement in 5-Minutes is a bite-sized procurement podcast, designed to fit around our busy lives. Each short episode tackles a big challenge facing the procurement industry today – from recession to the ‘war on talent’.

Hosted by Iain Campbell McKenna, the podcast also features insights from industry experts. Procurement in 5-Minutes has not published any shows since December 2023.

 

35. Decisions That Matter

This podcast focuses on the big decisions in public procurement. It examines the procurement issues that impact the nearly 20 million people employed in government and educational institutions across the United States.

Decisions That Matter is brought to you by Procurated. It features in-depth discussions with procurement leaders and subject matter experts on the most pressing topics in the public sector today.

 

36. CIPS Procurement and Supply Podcast

This podcast is brought to you by CIPS – The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.

The CIPS Procurement and Supply Podcast offers knowledge, interviews and insights, with a recent focus on current global supply chain issues.

The main podcast is supplemented by a sister broadcast: WOW Podcast. This features stories from CIPS members around the world as they share their study experiences.

This podcast is not actively publishing, but there are over 40 older episodes to get your teeth into.

 

37. Inside Public Procurement

Inside Public Procurement is a podcast dedicated to exploring public procurement across North America.

38. Supplier Experience Live

Supplier Experience Live is a procurement podcast produced by supplier management specialists, HICX.

The podcast explores the latest topics, trends, and discussion points in the procurement technology space. Each episode features an interview with a leading procurement expert. Discussion topics cover the entire breadth of the procurement landscape, but with a focus on the supplier experience and the importance of strong supplier relationships.

Supplier Experience Live is no longer actively publishing. However, there are over 25 episodes in their archive that are worth a listen.

 

39. Tenure Talks

Tenure Talks is a bite-sized 15-minute procurement podcast. It offers short-but-sweet bursts of insight – perfect your coffee break. Brought to you by Procurement Foundry, this podcast is hosted by Katie McEwen. Each episode features a concise, to-the-point interview with a leading procurement influencer.

Tenure Talks hasn’t put out a podcast since April 2021, but there are almost 30 past episodes online for you to explore.

 

40. ProctoCast

ProctoCast is brought to you by the Proctopus network. Founded in 2020, the Proctopus network is on a mission to make the procurement community more engaged and the profession better understood.

Each episode, ProctoCast brings you procurement thought leadership, as well as tales of screw-ups, successes and stories from procurement professionals and solutions providers across the world.

ProctoCast is hosted by Dave Jones and ProcurementSoftware.site’s James Meads. The show is no longer actively publishing. However, there are over 20 episodes in their archive that are worth a listen.

 

41. Procurement Innovation

Procurement Innovation is a podcast where business leaders share key insights on innovation, market growth and principles of business success.

It’s produced by procurement solutions provider GoProcure, and hosted by Raj Verma. Each episode, Raj speaks to key players and innovators across the procurement ecosystem. Topics range from sustainability and supplier diversity, to supply chain innovation and cost-saving best practice.

Procurement Innovation releases episodes somewhat sporadically, and it hasn’t published yet this year.

 

42. Procurement Rising

Procurement Rising is part of the Ardent Partners Podcast Network. It’s hosted by Ardent Partners’ Founder, Andrew Bartolini. Each episode, Andrew interviews guests about the world of procurement and supply chain management. These guests range from chief procurement officers and best-in-class procurement leaders, to business and technology experts working in areas related to procurement.

Procurement Rising is released in seasons, airing on a monthly basis. The latest season concluded in February 2022, but we hope to see more from Andrew soon.

 

43. Procurement and Sourcing Hub

Procurement and Sourcing Hub is a short series of very long form episodes focusing on all aspects of procurement, right the way from tech and procurement software, right through to data analytics and category management. Focusing on a range of different industry sectors.

 

44. Meet Me At The Top

MEET ME AT THE TOP is a series of procurement podcasts dedicated to procurement people and their stories.

Each episode features insights and experiences from a wide variety of guests from across the world of procurement – from executives to consultants and scholars. Prior guests have included Dr. Ray Carter, author of “Practical Procurement”, and CIPS leadership team member Duncan Brock.

Published by Sosho-Media, MEET ME AT THE TOP released a chunk of over ten episodes over last winter, but has gone a little quiet since. We hope to see this podcast return soon.

 

45. The Procurement Podcast

The Procurement Podcast, brought to you by Andy Franks and Christophe Barriere-Varju, two passionate procurement professionals. The show uncovers techniques and best practices from leading Procurement Executives and CxO of some of the largest and complex private and public organisations around the world. The Marketing Procurement Podcast is a weekly podcast with a focus on marketing procurement.

Procurement, what’s in your long tail? is a show offering interesting and quirky conversations about procurement, especially everything relating to the long tail.

The podcast is produced by Paid, the procurement automation solution for the long tail. It’s hosted by Natasha Foster (COO at Paid) and Christina Patrick. Each episode they chat with leading CPOs, CFOs, and heads of procurement to share the latest news and trends affecting the long tail and more.

49. The Source

The Source is a podcast produced by Beroe Inc, the global SaaS-based procurement intelligence and analytics provider.

Each episode, Beroe’s Head of Content, Sakthi Prasad speaks with leading voices in the procurement world. Recent topics have ranged from an inside view of the aerospace supply chain, to an overview of digital procurement.

 

50. Procurement Matters

Procurement Matters features talk from real procurement people, by real procurement people.

Hosted by Glenn Johnston, each episode invites a guest from the world of procurement to share what matters in their personal and professional life.

Episodes air roughly every three months, with the latest going live in June 2022.
