Jon… here’s a quick write-up for those questions. – Mathew
Question #1 – What is procurement’s biggest strength?
Procurement’s position. No other function has the view and insights within a company. When done well, the value delivered is unmatched. From saving costs to driving revenue, cultural influence, internal and external presence, the list goes on.
Question #2 – What is procurement’s biggest weakness?
Itself. Often, the function can’t get out of its own way. Stuck in the past and unable to see the future. Advocating for themselves and, collectively, raising the awareness and value of the function.

Business Acumen
Technology Literacy
Relationship Building
Within those three areas lie a wealth of value and impact that will help companies transform as how business gets done evolves.
