For me, over the years, the one constant factor in procurement transformation success of any kind is based on the following words of Sun Tzu: “Every battle is won or lost before it’s ever fought.”
Like studying to write a test or training before stepping up to a marathon’s starting line, your success is already pre-determined. As long as you don’t abdicate your responsibility and role in achieving eProcurement/digital transformation success to a provider and their technology, you will get to where you want to go.
In short, your provider is a strategic partner whose expertise and experience you must leverage and lead, not vice versa.
