EDITOR’S NOTE: My response to a post about recycling plastic is below.

While I was unable to access the video, here is what I appreciated about your post, Kerstin Benden:

1. An earnest effort is being made to recycle these products

2. You provide an alternative voice to those who say that the recycling of plastics is a myth

I believe in recycling, and I support sustainability initiatives.

However, some point out the downside of products such as plastics and fossil fuel vehicles, suggesting outright replacement is the only answer. My problem is that some of these same voices talking about the downside of attempting to recycle plastics fail to talk about the downside of, for example, EVs.

Note, I am not criticizing the goal of EVs, but how can you ignore the moral costs of mining the minerals for batteries? How can you ignore that fossil fuel cars are being shipped and sold widely in third countries?

I think we all need to pause and read or reread John Elkington‘s seminal book Cannibals With Forks – The Triple Bottom Line of 21st Century Business – https://bit.ly/3ToqhdQ

In the meantime, bravo Altium Packaging and Envision Plastics
